Day 25: Your Kingdom Come
Word:
Matthew 6.10 “Your Kingdom come…”
Daily Devotional
From intimacy and adoration, Jesus leads us into intercession. The phrase “Your Kingdom come”, is both an expression of the longing of our hearts and a strategic prayer in the battlefields of this world. In today’s Scripture meditations, we get several snapshots of what it looks like when the Kingdom comes.
Scriptures For Today:
As you read today's Scriptures, read slowly and attentively, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you as you meditate on His Word.
Matthew 6.9 “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come…’”
Revelation 21.1-4 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Revelation 22.1-5 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

Prayer:
Here are two prayers for today. One is devotional and one is for those in our city that do not know Jesus. Praying for the lost is one of the ways we prepare for harvest.
Lord, we long for your Kingdom to come! Today we invite Your rule and reign into every relationship and situation in our lives!
Today we are praying Colossians 4.2-4 over those that don’t know Jesus in our city. Feel free to insert specific names of people in the prayer.
Lord, would You show me open doors to share the Gospel today with people who don’t know You! Specifically would you give me open doors with (insert names here). Please empower me by the Spirit to speak Your Word clearly, to walk in wisdom with the lost today and for my speech to be seasoned with salt.
Listen & Obey:
Spend two minutes in silent, listening prayer. Write down what you sense the Holy Spirit speaking to you. Here are some prompts to assist you:
Lord, what do You want to speak to me from these passages of Scripture as I start my day?
How do You want me to apply this truth today?
Who do I need to share this with today?
