Day 27: On Earth As It Is In Heaven
Word:
Matthew 6.10c “On Earth as it is in Heaven…”
Daily Devotional
As Jesus completes this sentence, He gives us our target: our desire and request is that God’s Kingdom would come, and His will would be done, here on Earth just like it is in Heaven. In our families, in our church, in our city, in our nation and in the nations. It is easy for our prayer life to become focused on us. Jesus leads us out from the trap of self-centeredness and into the joy of being Kingdom focused.
Scriptures For Today:
As you read today's Scriptures, read slowly and attentively, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you as you meditate on His Word.
Matthew 6.9 “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven…’”
Ephesians 1.3-10 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

Prayer:
Here are two prayers for today. One is devotional and one is for those in our city that do not know Jesus. Praying for the lost is one of the ways we prepare for harvest.
Lord, I join in the prayer of Jesus and the disciples throughout the nations and generations. Let Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done in my life and in the Earth as it is in Heaven!
Today we are praying Isaiah 45.5-6 and Romans 2.4 over those that don’t know Jesus in our city. Feel free to insert specific names of people in the prayer.
Lord, would strengthen and bless the lost of our city in such a way that they would see Your kindness and be drawn to repentance. Please strengthen and bless (insert names here) today.
Listen & Obey:
Spend two minutes in silent, listening prayer. Write down what you sense the Holy Spirit speaking to you. Here are some prompts to assist you:
Lord, what do You want to speak to me from these passages of Scripture as I start my day?
How do You want me to apply this truth today?
Who do I need to share this with today?
